Heather Parr is the founder and CIO (Chief Improvising Officer) of Global Chi that opened in 1999. She is an accomplished motivator and career development professional with more than 20 years of experience in some of Canada’s largest companies. She has presented in the biotech, hi-tech, oil and gas, financial services, banking and primary resource industries.

Heather has a Masters degree in Sociology and developed her passion for holistic belief systems in community development work with First Nations organizations in western Canada and Mexico. Some of her human development certification include the True Colors Certification, the Integrated Body Psychotherapy Certification Program, the William Bridges/Mainstream Transition Work Certification, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Certification and A.F.L.C.A. Aerobics and Older Adult Aerobics Instruction.

Heather innovated a fusion of Improvisational Theatre, Eastern philosophy and a dash of Western business practices to create team and conference sessions guaranteed to delight and inspire. Heather is trilingual and keeps her Chi flowing with a steady diet of belly dance and globetrotting. Heather applied the Global Chi philosophy to job search, and wrote the book “Want to Work in Oil and Gas?” which was on the Calgary Herald’s bestselling business book list.
